Radlein Obituary June 15 1941. On 9th May, 1941, from heart failure, Brigadier Frank Hole Witts. D.S.O., M.C. He was at Radley (Bryans's, G) from 1900-1906, coming from Summerfields as an Entrance Scholar. He did extremely well both intellectually and athletically in the life of the School, winning among other distinctions the Worsley Prize and his Fives Vest, and being Second Prefect in his last year. He was a most energetic and cheery boy and a very capable Head of his House. He went up to Oxford where he gained a Second in Modern History. He served with great distinction all through the 1914-1918 War, winning the D.S.O. and M.C. He held various commands after the War and in 1938 was made A.D.C. to the King. The news of his sudden death will have brought sorrow to many members of Radley of his day, and to very many more in the greater world outside.
