Radlein Obituary | October 18 1942. Michael Edward William Warburton was killed in action in June 1942. The son of Wing Commander P. Warburton (O.R.), he came to Radley (Nugee's, B) from St. Bede's, Eastbourne, in 1933 and left in 1937 to go up to Oriel. The war cut short his university career and he enlisted in the R.A.F. almost at once. He was an enthusiastic airman, and constantly chafed under the slowness of his training when equipment and planes, were so short in those early days' He was killed as a Sergt. Navigator when on an operational sortie. |
