Radlein Obituary | November 21 1943. Early in 1943, missing, presumed killed, John Earle Tickler, Fig. Off., R.A.F.V.R. (Hellard 's-Cocks's, 1935-39). John Tickler's death will greatly grieve his many friends. From his earliest days here he was always an engagingly cheerful and friendly person, and even when he became a. School Prefect and head of his Social, he never lost his early gaiety and warmth of heart. He was a good athlete, and, in spite of his slender build, developed into a sound "7" in the boat. He enjoyed a distinguished school career, and was a deservedly popular and respected figure here we have good reason to mourn the sad and untimely passing of such a happy and attractive personality. |
