| Radlein Obituary | March 5 1944. Killed in an air accident in the Pacific zone in Dec., 1943. Brydon Taves (Hope's E, 1928-31). Although he left at a rather early age to return to America, he was at Radley long enough to show promise in various directions. He was a House Prefect, and in the 2nd XV, and will be remembered by many as a person of outstanding individuality, and considerable charm of manner. Some of us met him in New York, when the Radley crew visited America in August, 1938. He was on his way as a United Press war correspondent to get an eye-witness account of the American landings at Cape Gloucester, when he met his death. |
