| Radlein Obituary | March 8 1942. On 29th December 1941, on active service, Hugh William Steven, Sec. Lt .. Royal Warwickshire Regiment (Wilson-Green's, G, 1924-28). He never completely recovered from injuries received in a road accident during night exercises in July of last year. At Radley, Steven played an unobtrusive but very useful part in the life of the Social. Modest, even-tempered, intelligent, and friendly as he was, his contemporaries still have happy recollections of him and lament his early death. On leaving Radley he entered on a commercial career and, prior to the War, he was in the service of Allied Ironfounders, Ltd., and had distinguished himself both by personal and organising ability. |
