Radlein Obituary November 17 1940. In August, 1940, missing, believed killed in the Mediterranean, John Rumney Robins, Lieut. (A) RN. He was at Radley (Macpherson's, A) 1920-1924. In 1926 he joined the R.A.F being promoted Flying Officer in 1930 He represented the RAF. v. the Navy at golf in 1932, but in 1938 joined his old opponents and became a Sub-Lieut. in the Fleet Air Arm, being a Lieut. at the time of his death. Always of a lively sporting disposition, he was of just the type to make a thoroughly courageous airman and he was absolutely devoted to his work.
