| Radlein Obituary | November 17 1940. In May. 1940. killed on active service on the way back from Dunkirk, Arthur Cecil Perkins, Capt R.A.S.C. He was at Radley (Newman's-Hope's, E) from 1925-1930. He was the third of a family of four all of whom were at Radley. He was a Prefect, Head of his Social, and Captain of Boats, rowing bow in the VIII of 1930. Of a simple open nature, he achieved a prominent position in the school by consistent devotion to duty. His loyalty to his old School made him a frequent visitor and there are many friends here who will miss him. He married in I934 and leaves a widow and two children. He obtained a commission in the R.A.S.C. (Supplementary Reserve) in 1938 and at the time of his death was a Captain. |
