| Radlein Obituary | November 17 1940. Killed in action in June. 1940. James Cedric Paterson. Pilot Officer. R. A.F.V.R. He was at Radley (Hedgccock's. F) during the years 1930-34. He was a keen athlete and his time for the Junior 100 Yards was equal to the school record. He was also a useful oar. and he achieved his ambition to earn his 1st VIII colours. He left the school to become an aeronautical engineer, He was a Pilot Officer in the R.A.F. Volunteer Reserve. and was killed when he crashed at a southern aerodrome having brought his machine back across the Channel after being wounded over France. |
