Radlein Obituary | February 25 1945. In December 1944, died in the Central Mediterranean, Francis Newton Martin-Atkins, Driver, RE. (Boyd's, Morgan's, G., 1934-37). Francis Martin-Atkins will be remembered with great affection by many who were his contemporaries at Radley. Though he never achieved distinction in his work or games, he was one of the most popular boys in his Social. He had a pleasant smile and a charming hesitancy of manner which never failed to disarm his critics, and brought him many friends. He was always happy in the open air, and when he left, he went to the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester. The news of his death comes as a great shock to all who knew him. |
