Radlein Obituary October 18 1942. Killed in May 1942, while serving with the R.A.C. in Libya, David Norrie Kerans, Sec. Lt. He came to Nugee's (B) from Wellington House, Westgate, in September, 1935, and left in July 1938 to go to University College, Oxford. While at Radley he displayed that activity which indicates a healthy and happy outlook on life. He was a keen athlete and was particularly fond of rackets, fives, squash and tennis in all of which he showed considerable prowess. He always intended to make the Army his career, and though, because of his love of horses, he was obviously cut out for the cavalry, he was the sort of boy who could readily adapt himself to the mechanical age. The loss of both his parents within a short space of time, and at a critical stage in his career developed in him a sense of responsibility which he loved to conceal behind a more frivolous exterior.
