Radlein Obituary November 17 1946. On July 3rd, 1946, Thomas Fancourt Hayman-Joyce, Major, R.A. (Stone's, B, 1920-24). Thomas, the brother of H. J. Hayman-Joyce, came to Radley in the Michaelmas term of 1920, and although he left. young he had already made his mark in the school; quiet and unassuming he was beloved by all who knew him, and before he left for Woolwich he reached the Upper Sixth, was appointed a house prefect and rowed in the 3rd Eight. From Radley he passed on to Woolwich and was commissioned to the RA. and sent out to India. There unfortunately he picked up a germ, which resulted in his return to London, where he worked through the blitz, having reached the rank of Major. Our condolences go to his relations and many friends.
