Radlein Obituary | March 8 1942. In January 1942, killed in action in Libya, Peter John Glyn, Lt., R.A.C. (The Queen's Bays). He was at Radley (Nugee's, B) from 1933 to 1937, was a House Prefect and rowed in the Third Eight. From school he went on to Sandhurst, and was commissioned in 1939. His contemporaries will remember that he had considerable initiative not unconnected with motor bicycles and shot-guns, and that he had his own ideas about the petty but necessary restrictions of school life, He wrote often to Radley, and just before he was killed an airgraph letter arrived in which he stressed his happy memories of his school life. |
