Radlein Obituary | November 17 1940. On 25th May, I940, killed in action at Crombeke. Flanders, Robert John Brooke Gill, CorpI., R.A.S.C. He came to Radley (Stevenson's, D) in September I924 and after five terms owing to ill health he left and went to Chillon College in Switzerland. Subsequently he went to Reading University where he studied Agriculture. He rowed in the University VIlI in 1932 and 1933. Although in a reserved occupation. he enlisted in the R.A.S.C. in December 1939, and, at the time of his death, was a corporal serving with an ambulance unit. |
