Radlein Obituary | February 18 1943. On Dec. 24, 1942, in Irak, John George, Lt., R.E. (Hellard's--Cocks's, C, 1932-36). John George was one in whom a quiet and unassuming exterior concealed a pleasant nature and a warm heart; he always played his part well here, and finished up as a House Prefect. He had an able and intelligent brain; choosing the Army for his profession, he passed high into Woolwich and subsequently was one of those selected to go on to Cambridge. Those who were privileged to know him really well will regret the sadly premature end to a promising career. |
