Radlein Obituary June 17 1945. Killed in action on the Western Front in March 1945, Michael Graham Finlinson, Lt., R.E. (E) (Eason's, B. 1938-42). Michael Finlinson came to Radley from St. Cyprian's in September, 1938, and gave early signs of becoming a prominent member of his house. Of a studious nature, and considerable athletic ability he gave of his best both in and out of school. When he left in 1942 he went to Birmingham University as a cadet R.E., and was commissioned in Dec. 1943. He saw service in France after D Day and in March '45 was posted to go out East. At his own request his posting was deferred so that he could take part in the attack on the Rhine, for which he had done so much practice during the winter. He was killed in the early days of the attack. Our sympathy goes out to his parents, who through living abroad, had seen so little of him lately.
