Radlein Obituary | November 19 1944. Missing, presumed killed, over France in June 1944, John Andrew Edward, Flt. Lt, R.A.F. (Nugee's, B, 1928-31). John Edward came to us from Brambletye, and his affection for Radley was of immediate growth. He was a loyal member of house and school, and many will remember his delightful personality. He was articled to Chartered Accountants after leaving school. When the war began he enlisted in the R.A. and got his commission in Dec. 1939. He transferred to the R.A.F. a year later. He had latterly been flying with a pathfinder squadron. |
