Radlein Obituary | March 5 1944. On 6th December, 1943, Basil John Schreiber Carlyon-Hughes. He was at Radley (Croome's, F) from I903-05 and after leaving became an architect, practising in Dovercourt; he was also in the printing and publishing business. He served in the last war in the Essex Regt. (Territorials), in Gallipoli. Egypt and Palestine, reaching the rank of Major. He was called up from the reserve in August, 1939, and was serving at the time of his death. |
