Radlein Obituary | November 23 1941. Reported missing in May. now presumed killed in action, Athol Urban Marshall Campbell, Lieutenant in the South African Air Force. He was at Radley (Stevenson's- Watkins's, D) from 1933 to I938. He began in the Fourth Form and ended in the Sixth. He was a brilliant football-player, and his unbounded energy took him into every branch of sport except the rowing, and as Senior Prefect he commanded the respect of all. Whether our memories centre round him in the O.T.C., on the playing field, in the boxing ring or in Pups' Study, governing them all is the memory of that magnificent vitality that infected everyone. To him as Senior Prefect the Radley of his generation and of succeeding ones owes much. |
