Radlein Obituary | June 18 1944. KiIled in action in Italy, in March, 1944, the Hon. Patrick Henry Stanley Danvers Butler, Lt., Scots Guards, (Nugee's. B, 1934-38), younger son of the Earl of Lanesborough. Pat Butler was one of the simple, unsophisticated boys who do not become conspicuous during their schooldays. But he had many friends who appreciated his happy nature and many of his contemporaries will mourn his loss. He joined the Scots Guards when war started, and was mentioned in despatches early this year. He must have been a delightfully cheerful person with whom to be on active service. Our sympathy with his parents is very real, for we remember nothing of him but what was good. |
