| Radlein Obituary | November 21 1943. In July, 1943, as the result of an accident, Anthony James Bontein, Tempporary Lieutenant, Royal Marines (Stevenson's- Watkins's, D, 1936-40). By a wide circle of contemporaries he will be remembered for his imperturbable cheerfulness and good fellowship. He was a House Prefect and a vigorous member of the Second XV. The navy had always been his ambition, and his death came not long after he had risen from the lower deck to a commission in the Royal Marines. |
