The Secretary was authorised to ask Mr Simpson if he would agree to the George R Simpson Exhibition founded by him being awarded to the late Senior Prefect of Radley, George Mallaby, to enable him to go up to Oxford.' War Memorial Fund Ctte minutes 19.7.1923: '5. On the application of the Warden the George Simpson Exhibition which had lapsed on G Mallaby taking his degree was awarded to the present Senior Prefect, V. O'Connor.' War Memorial Fund Ctte minutes 20.6.1929: '2. The Hon Sec reported that a sum of £1000 had been received from Mr Ricardo Simpson as executor of his late brother Mr WM Simpson, the interest in which was to go to increase the value of the George Ricardo Simpson Exhibition, hitherto of £25 pa.' |
